Why we give.

The two principles given in Scripture to guide us in our giving are Grace and Generosity.  Jesus has given us grace through the cross, therefore, everything we do is motivated by that reality.  What you give is between you and God knowing God's grace is generous.  

Giving is about our attitude, not the amount given.  

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
